SEO Specialist
Job Summary:
The SEO Specialist is a hands-on execution role responsible for owning local SEO performance for a dedicated book of home services clients. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can independently manage and execute SEO campaigns end to end, from on-page and technical optimization to local SEO and content support, without the distraction of client calls or sales responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own and manage SEO performance for a dedicated book of home services clients.
- Execute on-page, technical, and local SEO strategies across assigned accounts.
- Implement SEO best practices consistently across all campaigns.
- Monitor performance using Google Search Console and GA4 to identify trends and issues.
- Conduct keyword research and map keywords to service and location pages.
- Optimize service pages and location-based pages to improve rankings and conversions.
- Manage local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profile optimization and citation accuracy.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as indexing, crawl errors, and site structure problems.
- Collaborate with content teams to provide SEO guidance and optimization recommendations.
- Execute internal linking strategies to support keyword and page performance.
- Track and document SEO changes, implementations, and outcomes.
- Stay current on SEO algorithm updates and industry best practices.
- Work closely with account managers (CSMs) to align execution with the overall strategy.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including on-page, technical, and off-page optimization.
- Hands-on experience using Google Search Console to monitor performance, indexing, and technical issues.
- Working knowledge of GA4 for analyzing organic traffic, user behavior, and conversion trends.
- Experience managing local SEO campaigns, including Google Business Profile optimization, citation building, and NAP consistency.
- Ability to conduct keyword research and map keywords to pages based on search intent.
- Experience optimizing service pages and location-based pages for home services businesses.
- Understanding of internal linking strategies and site architecture for SEO performance.
- Familiarity with content optimization workflows, including content briefs and on-page recommendations.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of AI and prompt modifications.
- Bonus: experience with HubSpot and a track record working with home services clients.
